Hello! It's orenjpiko, your 2D escape from the 3D woes! Thank you for coming here to learn more about me. I am super grateful! :)

I am an artist (and dinosaur) with a conviction; draw all the 2D men! 

I am working towards my dream of keeping my conviction and becoming a full-time artist! Life has been a series of ups and downs and all the while, art has been at the back of my head. However, I was too scared and lacked confidence to be serious with it. I was afraid of what people would think if I drew what I wanted. 

I’ve been working on myself, my confidence and my mental health, I am ready to tackle my dream head on! I no longer just want to watch my life fly by. I am actively working on this shop, making art, working on a newsletter and my YouTube channel to make my dream a reality.

What does it mean to be your 2D escape from the 3D woes? It means I want to soothe your soul with my art! When you’ve had a bad day, I want the art I create to be something to bring a smile to your face. If you’ve had a bad day at work, or school, or a bunch of little annoying things happen to you, or, maybe it’s a terrible combo! You have a bad day at work and then your shirt or bag gets caught in the door handle as soon as you get home! The worst, let me tell you. I always find 2D men in art, shows or books, to bring me a smile and I want to be part of the reason for smiles on people’s faces! 


I feel like I should share some other fun stuff about myself! Hmmm…

🟊 I mostly make art in black ink alone.

🟊 I want to work towards being a more confident person!

🟊 Drawing, watching shows and reading are my favourite activities.

🟊 I enjoy anime, and if I had to share a favourite, it would be really difficult, but I really do like   Natsume’s Book of Friends! 

🟊 I love all animals, but especially dogs! 

🟊 I enjoy running and sports.

🟊 I can’t seem to understand how swimming works. Different friends have tried to teach me, but to no avail. Maybe one day I will try lessons with a professional teacher.

The idea for this print was inspired by the robins, cardinals and blue jays that I see in my neighbourhood! I wanted to embody certain personality and behavioural characteristics of the birds. What resulted, is an illustration of three really close friends, who are very distinct in personality and looks. They are the nicest guys alive and are VERY good in a fight! Something they like to do together is ride their motorcycles! The original design is hand-drawn with black ink.
